KeyPace Typing Test
Take a live typing speed test in the chat: WPM, accuracy, consistency, weak-key drills, and a challenge link.
KeyPace Typing Test is a typing speed test that runs inside the conversation. Pick 15, 30, 60 or 120 seconds (or a full passage), common words, sentences with punctuation, numbers, or code, or paste your own paragraph. The timer starts on your first keystroke, every character turns green or red as you type, and the result shows WPM, raw WPM, accuracy, errors, consistency, and a per-second speed chart. Practice your weakest keys with a generated drill, download a result card, or send a friend a challenge link with the exact same passage.
What it does
- Timed tests (15, 30, 60, 120 seconds or any length up to 10 minutes) and full-passage tests
- Four passage styles: common words, sentences with punctuation, words and numbers, code snippets
- Your own text: paste a paragraph and get tested on exactly that
- Live highlighting of correct and incorrect characters; the timer starts on the first keystroke
- Standard scoring: WPM = (correct characters / 5) / minutes, plus raw WPM, accuracy, errors and consistency
- Weak-key report and a practice drill built from words that use those keys
- Shareable SVG result card and a challenge link that opens the same test in any browser
- Works on phones with the on-screen keyboard

Limitations
- English passages only; custom text can be in any language your keyboard can type
- Scoring is word by word: a skipped or doubled letter affects only the rest of that word, and whitespace between words counts as one character
- Results are not saved between conversations and there is no leaderboard
- Tests from 1 second to 1 hour can be scored; passages are limited to 20,000 characters
